Lee Barnes - Owner and Restoration Specialist
Lee's eye for detail and passion for Classic and Muscle Cars have given him a nationwide reputation for excellence in complete frame off and rotisserie restorations. Lee started working with his Dad when he was a kid working on the family Muscle cars.
Lee graduated from Nashville Auto Diesel College in 1981. His first car shown (and won an award) was a 1965 Mustang Convertible.
In 1982 Lee started his own company, Classic Restorations in Spartanburg, S.C. and ran it until 1995. In 1995 he joined Chuck Miller Restorations in Piedmont were he worked until joining Palmetto Restoration in March 2007. In 2008 Lee and his wife Donna opened B.C.R., Barnes Classic Restorations in Piedmont, S.C. Lee has had cars featured in several Muscle car magazines and has won countless Gold and Platinum awards over the past 30 years. In 1995 restored the highest point car in the Nation, a 1957 Chevy Convertible. In 2002 was a finalist in for the Year One Cup with a 1965 GTO Convertible. Through the years Lee has restored over 70 cars. Some being 1955-57 Chevy's, Corvette's, T-Birds and other Muscle cars from the 60's through the early 70's. But his favorite is always the 65 GTO.
